Michael O’Brien joined Athyrium in 2018 and currently serves as a Vice President. He focuses on growth-stage investments in the healthcare services and technology sector, with an emphasis on pharma services and value-based care delivery. Representative investment experience includes InnovaCare Health, uMotif, ArisGlobal, Unlock Health (f.k.a. Eruptr), and Alcresta Therapeutics.

Prior to joining Athyrium, Michael was an investment banking analyst in the Healthcare group at Guggenheim Partners. While at Guggenheim, he worked on a number of M&A transactions involving biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Michael graduated with a B.S. in Economics, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2016.
